the "Scotland" flag

Mary Brown after our hall meeting tonight.. just being so athletic.

can we go to sonic after this?

3g has had such a whirlwind of a few days... we returned to the hall Sunday night with empty bellies and with the expectations of enjoying and giving thanks together. Our menu consisted of Crock pot macaroni and cheese, baked macaroni and cheese, havarti cheese (slices), pimento cheese sandwiches, hash brown cheese casserole, cheesecake, ham, turkey, chocolate fudge, caramel popcorn and pumpkin muffins... oh and ritz crackers and a few slices of some sort of spicy turkey. We just skipped out on the whole vegetable food group on this feast...

Emily's parents gave us a bottle of organic sparkling pear juice (not recommended) and hannah pulled out an old and hot jug of wine. We pulled two coffee tables into the hallway, and we were ready to feast. We got out our Dixie plates and to-go utensils we had acquired and feasted. We went around saying what we were thankful for and we surely were thankful for each other..but most of all the food we share together. After all of us were rolling and laying around the hall, we had to go and do work. We hadn't even returned to classes yet but, all of us had SO much work to do. Here's one end of the table at the feast.. in the middle of the hall!

So, some of us went and napped, some went and soaked in the bath, but at 12:00 am we all got back together again to celebrate Maria's 21st!! It's been a semester of 21st birthdays and we still have a WHOLE semester left to celebrate everyone else's! So, Maria's first sip of legal alcohol was the hot jug of white wine that Hannah had, we celebrated and chatted then, went to bed.

The next day, we all go to class, and return the hall almost in tears when reminded of all the work we have to do before Exams NEXT WEEK. So we screamed..literally.. and complained, which is what we do best, and did work and watched Oprah. Then, Maria's dad and step-mom came and took us out to dinner! Yahoo! We had a night on the town in Clinton, SC at FATZ holler! It's so interesting how much differently we act and carry ourselves...cough cough... mary brown when in public and around parents. We go from partying and belching to jewelery and saying yes ma'am.  Last night was one of the first nights we all were clean and bathed AT THE SAME time-- in weeks. We were looking so clean and presentable.

Katie, Mary Brown, Maria's Dad, Emily and Kate at dinner!

and the other side- liz, carrie, the birthday girl, hannah... and marge's head.

Emily, what are you looking for?

So after dinner, we came back to the hall and then got ready to really celebrate Maria's birthday. We went to Theta Chi and hung out with the boys before going to el jal- which yes, is a mexican restaurant we think is a bar.. but it's not really. Maria was just having such a great time, dancing on tables, knocking people off tables and having so much fun. Some of the 3g girls returned to the dorm after a lot of celebrating, maybe too much... and others went back out to the fraternity houses. Hannah, in all of her celebration tactics, lost blackberry number 823476. PS, campus of PC, if you find a pink phone with a bluecover please let someone on 3g know! Hannah alone has contributed a lot to the success and fame of blackberrys.

Here we are at El jal, celebrating more!

Tonight, we all have our perspective chapter meetings. Last ones of the semester!! We will come back to our 3g sistchers on the hall and watch glee-- and be informed at our hall meeting on how to check out of the dorm properly next week for Christmas!

Stay tuned these next few days for interesting late night studying adventures. Exam week is one of the most fun weeks at PC because no one sleeps, and everyone is delirious. The week before-- called "dead week" isn't existent on this hall. If you hear screams and tears coming from Grotnes dorm, it's just being overwhelmed with school!

3g lesson of the day-- Monday nights are not the best nights to celebrate 21st birthdays...

oh the reason for excitement

Alright everyone, I’m going to tell you about the McClenaghan family Thanksgiving of 2009, because it will give you a better idea of how excited I was for our feast this year …First of all, I’m going to go ahead and apologize for the grossness of this story…Usually I don’t talk like this, but because I feel like I’m in the presence of 3G, I consider it ok.

So here it goes… our Thanksgiving crowd has unfortunately dwindled over the past couple of years with my sister getting married and she having to go to Alex (her husband)’s family’s house and other reasons…so last year, we went up to our best family friend’s house two doors up from us.  They are basically family so it isn’t weird or unusual for us to eat Thanksgiving lunch with them.  So right before we ate, we prayed and blessed the food.  During the prayer, the grandmother starts crying (if she is anything like 3G, she’s sick of waiting and ready to eat), and of course I’m beside her and I don’t really know her that well so it’s nice and awkward trying to comfort her.  So then it’s time to eat! FINALLY…so the grandmother gets in line and I get behind her.  Well as she is still stiffing and wiping her tears, she gets the tongs for the turkey and decides she wants one of the very back pieces of turkey. Now, picture a small little lady reaching for the back of the turkey plate…her head is hovering over the plate of turkey.  Well, I guess she didn’t blow her nose well enough because as she is leaning over the turkey, SOMETHING starts dripping and just flowing out of her nose (again, I apologize).  Luckily (I guess you would consider this lucky) she sniffs really hard and all of that grossness hanging about 6 inches under her nose just goes right on up back where it belongs.  Yall, I almost started crying I was so grossed out.  Sooooo I definitely skipped out on the turkey, and basically everything else because I was scared of the incidence happening over and over again. And THAT is why I could barely move after this year’s Thanksgiving, I had to eat double to make up for last year.

Sorry I had to tell y’all that, and you’re welcome for not taking pictures.

So this morning, I decided to go running. And here in Greenville, there are leaves ALL over the place and it rained a couple of days ago so they are all really wet and slick.  Well I started running when it was getting darker and as it gets darker, I start to run faster because I get scared.  Running fast (for me) and wet leaves don’t go too well together so as you can imagine, I definitely slipped and fell flat on my face, ripped the knees in the pants that was wearing and skinned my hands of pretty good.  You better bet I didn’t go running anymore after that.

So of course I love spending time with my family, but here are some of the reasons why I missed 3G...

Passed by Elizabeth's house and look what I found! Marge's car in her driveway...Marge drove Elizabeth home from school on Friday because she was flying out of good 'ole Greenville/Spartanburg airport and left her car at the Nickles'.

Liz says ZLAM!! haha

Came across this truck and figured he doesn't know what he's missing with 3G...

And now for the only time I really got out of the house this break...

My sister and her husband's dogs with their game day bandannas on
if only we celebrated like this after PC won games

Well, hope that wasn't too exciting...I'll be leaving 29605 pretty soon and can't wait to see yall in good ole Clinton.

Miller Madness and Mayhem: Greetings from above the Mason-Dixon Line

Hello 3G! Greetings from Michigan!! I miss y'all so much!!

So to begin my story.... I arrived at the airport thanks to schliz (who thankfully stored my car at her house) and was a little apprehensive because of flying alone and the supposed high security.  Never fear the TSA was not doing pat downs in good ole greenville airport.  Well then I sat down at my gate, ate my chickfila at 11 in the morning, and scoped out my flying companions.  I had two that I has hoping to be sitting by both looked like good fratty college boys but OH NO yours truly had a delightfully long airplane ride with a 75 year old poet that was a former dean at clemson.... NO WORRIES I know his whole life story including that he lost his wife a year ago and was traveling to have thanksgiving with her former college roommate because she has also lost a spouse and that the woman he was seeing in gville was not happy about it... wow.  Oh and his next book is coming out next month, has twin children (i saw pictures), and has a knee replacement.  Yeah it was interesting...
Well once I arrived at the Detroit Airport... I wandered about with my lilly bag and cowboy boots getting just a few stares until my uncle arrived early and saved me when I hurriedly ripped my ancient vera bradley from the baggage claim (probably because it was over packed) and almost got hit by a car.

Whew ok so Thanksgiving here is quite a production... from those who do not know my dad is one of thirteen children so I have a ton of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The cooking started the day before with emily on cookie duty (she probably made 100 or so), my aunt and grandma making a ton of pies, brining the turkey, and various other preparations...

The next day was chaos though organized under grandma's supervision...  There were almost 50 people and that was only aunts, uncles, and cousins.  We all barely fit but no fear there was plenty of food and in different preparations (2 different turkeys, 2 different stuffings, 3 different sweet potatoes, 2 different regular potatoes, etc..)
But in this miller household (i.e. the original)  the main entertainment is sitting around the large dinner table, talking, and eating whatever is in front of you (usually cookies, pie, donuts...)  And of course my dear father telling the same 3 stories over and over again to whoever will listen or walk in the door and laughing whether anyone else thinks it's funny or not.

Today we had a cousins day out.  So just a few of us (basically whoever we could round up) and our aunts Maurine and Georgina went to the movies.  The group included myself, emily, cheryl, sharon, daniel, lauren, and kathleen.  So when the miller's go places and since we have such a large family we travel in a big red church fan... yes my family has one for family outings and vacations... yes i know wow.  Well we loaded the van we went to the nearest mall and went shopping before our movie... which is outdoor and OH IT WAS 25 DEGREES.... why in the world in place that is sooo darn cold would you have outdoor malls is beside me.  But of course me the always avid shopper was more than willing to brave the elements. Oh and in this weather my cousins were wearing sweatshirts and tshirts and emily and i were wearing our warmest coats.
And in typical Miller fashion we were 45 minutes EARLY for the movie like before even the stuff before the previews were on.  And my adorable 3 year old cousin kept asking why the movie was broken and who broke it.  When Tangled finally began, she crawled into my lap and wiggled and asked for crunch bars for the remainder but she was just too cute to say no.

Following the movie, we returned to Grandma's (or the farm as it is known as here) to eat some leftovers.  Then we were informed by my aunt georgina that we had reservations for having our picture taken with santa.  So yes my sister and I along with my aunt sarah and her children,  lauren, kathleen, and christopher and my aunt maurine, aunt georgina, and uncle brian went to the mall to have our picture taken and of course to do some shopping (also a favorite miller hobby... and ya'll thought it wasn't genetic).  And yes I had to sit on Santa's lap it was funny and embarrassing. Pictures to follow

Oh and finally one of my family's other favorite hobbies is to pick on my southernness specifically because my nuclear family are the only ones.  No worries it's always something about the mason-dixon line, reminding us how the south lost "the war", and definitely about our accents. But it is always in good fun and in the butt of a joke. But don't worry it follows us outside the house up here.  When shopping today, I had to show my id and the saleswoman responded, "I thought I heard some southern in you" and then I accidently said "Yes, Ma'am" to a woman in Sephora and I thought she was going to yell at me... oh well.

Well 3G I miss you all a lot and the warmness of the South. No worries we will all be back soon complaining, eating our thanksgiving feast, and laying around.... CAN'T WAIT!!!
Love you all and pray I don't get hassled by the TSA on my way home!

Ok... well tried to add pictures but I failed... will try later!

Got them to work!!!

Emily and I at Thanksgiving... before the masses arrived

                                                     Basting the turkey... our contribution

The cousins who were there for Thanksgiving

                                             Cousins at the movies!!

                                            Sitting on Santa's lap!

Thanks, Giving, and Complaining

3G members...I miss you. 3G followers...we hope you miss us. I'd like to take a few minutes and dedicate this blog to what the Cain household is like during the holidays. First let me tell you ALL that I have done these past few days.
1. sleep. weird.
2. complain about not having a bed in my own house.
3. listen to my LITTLE sister's boyfriend problems. what's a boyfriend?
4. anatomy sketches. typical. normal. no big deal.
5. eat. duh.
6. watch Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Snow White...with Briggs and Ryan.
7. Told my parents my Christmas List: 4 Walls and a bed. Kthanks.

NOW that that's out of the way, let's bring the "Cain Gang" (that's what my mom calls us because she thinks she is clever. way to go Laurie.) into the picture. First off don't worry, my sister's room has even more new stuff in it; she has so many pictures, they can't fit on the walls. Secondly, we got a new grill. Thanks Al, I always wanted one. Can't wait to gril twice a year!!!
Let me paint you a picture of my Thanksgiving day:

1. wake up and watch the MACY'S DAY PARADE. excellent.
2. Al, myself, Briggs, Aubrey, and Ryan venture to Walmart to buy important things like shampoo and coffee filters. We tried to lose Aubrey but it didn't work. The only people in Walmart on Thanksgiving are people who speak different languages...trust me, I know.
3. Showed my dad a half-naked picture of Zac Effron and told him that's what I wanted for Christmas.
4. Went to see my Grandma Beula and got hit on by a 89 year old man. This is progress, I mean you gotta start some where.
5. Return home and complain about being hungry. Then I got the rolls out of the oven because that's all my mom trusts me with.
6. Aubrey and I drank a whole bottle of sparkling grape juice and pretended to be drunk throughout our entire thanksgiving meal and my dad looked worried...probably about the quality of his parenting thus far. I told him not to worry, next year it'll be real wine in my hand. Then Aubrey decided it would be funny to say "GOOD, THEN I CAN USE YOUR ID!" Emily and Aubrey-57. Dad-0.
7. then the whole fam watched A Christmas Carol and Briggs got emotional...a Cain member getting emotional? what?
And there you have it...Thanksgiving 2010.

Anyways, here are some pics of our historical celebration of cowboys and indians. or pilgrims. or tea. whatever.
Smiling 101 with Ryan...fail.

Apparently, how you sleep is hereditary. Thanks, Al.

My really cute brother.

Tilly, you are not a hunting dog. Quit pretending.

"You are REALLY dumb..."

Hello to all!

Let me just start out by saying, Washington is NOT as exciting as Greenville or North Carolina...But with the Haughey residence, we do what we can.

First off, I would like everyone to know that I introduced the YouTube video of "Hide ya kids, hide ya wife" and "You are SO dumb. You are REALLY dumb" to the family.  And Bob will not shut up saying it.  He even went as far as cutting out my picture when I was 13, and taping it to the Bad and Busted part of the Newspaper...you know, the newspaper with all the DUIs and arrests? Yea, there's my lovely 13 year old face with a caption "2nd speeding ticket. You are REALLY dumb" written under it, next to homeboy who got arrested for battery and interference with a 911 call... Cool, Bob. I was the laughing stock of the family on Thanksgiving day because he passed it around the lunch table...no, I will not provide a picture.

But let's see, I guess everyone knows, or will know now, that EVERYONE knows EVERYONE in Washington, Ga. To give people an idea, Washington's townsquare is VERY similar to the one in Gilmore Girls. Anyway, Tuesday night, when I got home, Mama, "Deddy," and I went to the townsquare's Candlelight shopping. This is when all the stores in downtown stay open until about 9:00 at night and people just walk around shop. It's like a miniature Black Friday for Washington. But because I have gotten so old, I barely knew anyone walking around, except for my highschool friends that I would occasionally run into.  But the best part is the SNOW. Yes, Washington creates fake snow and it falls from the street lights on the square every year on this night.  Even when it's 68 degrees like it was Tuesday night.  You can't get anymore redneck. Promise.

But as for Thanksgiving Day, 3G get excited for left overs. The menu was:
Turkey (Two kinds: Baked and Grilled...Thorne decided he wanted to grill one as well)
Dressing and Gravy
Cranberry Sauce
Creamed Corn
Butterbeans
Squash Casserole
Brocoli Casserole
Greenbean Casserole
Sweet Potatoes
Mac and Cheese (Crock-pot style...delicious..right schliz?)
Asparagus
Deviled Eggs
Rolls

Dessert: Chocolate Cream pie, Iced Fudge Brownies, Pecan Pie, Cheesecake, and Carrot Cake

ALL HOMEMADE.

And don't worry, the Irish priest who married my sister and Thorne joined us for lunch, and he ended up carving the turkey for us becuase none of us could.

He's such a cute little Irish man.

As for today, we went Christmas tree shopping. Normally, people would think you would just go to a little place that sells christmas trees, pick one out, no big deal. BUT with our family, it's a big deal.  We loaded up in the F250...That might I add, I was FORCED to drice...and headed to Augusta (1 hour away) to find the perfect Christmas tree. We spent an hour to an hour and a half looking.  Finally, Ann found the perfect one. Here's a picture of my brother-in-law and "deddy" getting ready to mount it...the netting is still on it, so it looks a little skinny here.

Tomorrow I will be heading to Athens for the UGA blackout game and will take as many pictures as possible to share.

Other than this, this is the extent of my Thanksgiving holiday. Washington struggles with excitement.

I love you all and can't wait to reunite on Sunday...and I guess celebrate someone's 21st birthday on Monday....haha but really, GET READY PC, 3G will be out and raging for MARCIA!

greetings from North Carolina

Hello Friends...

Well unlike nickels... i have not been talking in a lisp sorry however i have been pretty busy here in Charlotte.. My father a week ago decided he needed to climb on a ladder to repair some rotten wood.. and well he fell off and now has a broken ankle... yes i told him he was very dumb! So because of this broken ankle he can not drive and so now that his favorite daughter is home.. i have been having to drive him around... nope it is not fun and i have not been happy while doing it... but as you all know i am NEVER not happy so this is a rare thing for me..
So i have been spending a lot of time at my cousins house so i don't have to do anything for my dad.. and this is my little one year old cousin Henry. we have bonded and he told me that i am his favorite cousin... i mean DUHHH
He is saying "I love Mary Brown!!!"

Alright well now it is thanksgiving day!!! well since my crippled father could not fry the turkey my Uncle David had to fry it... yes it was quite the experience but it ended up tasting wonderful.. Here is David attempting to cut the turkey... he was not really sure how to do it... and yes if you can not notice he was using his hands.. gross
This might of been one of the most embarrassing things i have ever witnessed in my entire life.. so my dad this morning wants to go to Costco.. and im like dad you cant walk why in the world do you want to go?? well he made me drive him there so we get there i of course am thinking he is gonna use his crutches all throughout the store.. NOPE WRONG he got a scooter... yes a 50 year old man on a scooter which 95 year old men use.. ok so imagine me walking next to my father riding a scooter.. embarrassing..
This is another picture of my sweet little angel Henry in his frog coat... We all went out to lunch today and as always we cant go anywhere with out causing a scene... Yates my 3 year old cousin decided to squirt ketchup all over the table and everywhere because he said that the table was thirsty and needed ketchup and Henry knocked over my diet coke everywhere... nope not embarrassing at all... but he is too cute to get mad at him!!!

Oh and i forgot to take a picture.. well i did not forget because i did not tant my picture taken but since my dad can't do the yard and blow the leaves guess who had to do it?? yep you got it me!! it was horrible... i will never blow leaves again.. nope never....

ok well that's all that has been happening in North Carolina.... peace and blessings

"the lisp thing, really isn't funny."

3G!!!! only you understand me.

I have been talking in my excited lisp... you know when it got time to eat.. duh.. and when it was time to lay around.. duh and my mom tonight, asked me to "please, just for two minutes I would like for you to talk in a normal voice...." thanks mom! Another example, I was racing some tools on the way to Old Navy tonight for the midnight sale.. and naturally, I turned and hissed at the car beside us, which is perfectly normal and acceptable behavior on 3g. My sister turned to me and said "yeah, that's really annoying."

So, I'll inform ya'll of my productive break...
Yesterday, I babysat for THE cutest red head child. Many of you know, I want all of my children to have red hair. This is Sarah Grace-- she's two and we went to the zoo. She would take a bite of  a cracker, give a goat a bite.. and she would eat the rest. She's a giver. Here she is with the goats.

She's a diva. She calls her parents by their first names " Elizabeth, Where's Kimberly?"... You mean your mom?..."yeah."
last night, Laura informed me that I was chewing in my sleep. I passed OUT so early last night and she told me that I was having a dream about eating. WEIRD!

Today ruled. I just ate so much food-- laughed at my funny aunts, uncles and cousins... and my brother was being so crude and inapproprite. He literally was "tuteing" SO LOUD after lunch while everyone was sitting around. And as he laughed, everytime he took a breath in, he farted more. It was so embarrassing\ I couldn't stop laughing. I almost wet my pants.  After all of the cousins had left, we ended up staying at my grandmothers helping her clean up and wilson and I played the game we love to play called " let's hit each other as hard as we can." I punched him in the back so hard it brought tears to his eyes. We play all body is fair game.. except for boy\girl parts. Yep. So, then, Wilson SLAPPED ME ACROSS MY FACE as hard as he could. It literally stung for a good 30 minutes after. My face is still red.

So, we came home, and our Direct TV is out! YES. Dad went to go visit my Uncle who couldn't make it to lunch today because he was sick from Chemo so Laura, Wilson and I had a fun night of " man, your signature sucks." We all love those nights that you sit around and write your signature 2384987 times.

Yes, you are reading that correctly, Wilson wrote out a sentence about drugs and we all copied to see how "different our handwritings were.."

Here's Wilson trying to perfect the art of forging a signature...He's honestly scarily good at it.

yahoo! SUCH A FUN NIGHT at the Nickles! hahahahaha seriously, like some families would play board games, put in a movie, or something when the cable is out-- not us. We are innovative.

And to top it all off, we played with our pups in the laundry room for a grand finale of the night. Except our pups get jealous for attention so here they are literally having a dog fight... on my lap.

and to celebrate what I'm thankful for after today's great feast and family togetherness.. I leave you with this gem of a video..

also, I want all of us to see Burlesque together when we get back to PC or maybe even over Christmas break. I LOVED IT. My mom thought it was highly inappropriate but, I love Cher and some good musicals.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are so blessed and thankful for all of our wonderful family and friends! We love you all!

I thought Pilgrims and Indians was the Boston Tea Party?....

So sorry friends for the late update on the weekend. 3g was consumed the past two days on campus with school work, sorority life, work, teaching plans and... eating. So, the blog got put on the back burner. We apologize.

Friday night and Saturday night Marge and Jamie were in the Christmas dance show! Here they are being cute and looking like Santa babies:

Well, Friday night ADPi had initiation, so Garriett, Brooke and Liz were off to do ritualistic things and be creepy for a long time. The rest of the hall, except for Katie and Emily went out...duh. So, once the ADPi girls got back from initiation, Garriett quickly passed out and Liz and Katie went on an adventure... to cook Pigs n' a Blanket. See, since we are in college, and poor, we said " oh, we'll have a gourmet meal tonight, and we'll cook and be domestic." So, we went to Bi-lo at 9:30 at night to purchase the necessary items. We were going to put them together, but at this point, Liz was starving for dinner and in a bad mood-- so they bypassed putting them together and just got the frozen ones already put together.

They returned to Grotnes, made a special sauce containing A1, Mayo, Dijon Mustart, BBQ sauce and yellow Mustard. It was an interesting concoction-- but they found it in a magazine. Liz loved it. So, since the JUNIOR DORM, doesn't have kitchens to cook in... Liz and Katie had to trek over the Belk, the freshman dorm. Thanks PC! Long story short.. they ended up being serenaded to, creeping in unlocked rooms, and reliving their freshman year of when they met on second floor Belk as neighbors. Here are some photos of the process:
When Liz and Katie came back from their adventure and being domestic and intovative, this is what Emily was doing:
Surprise!

Here's a picture of 3g girls out.... making up new positions to take pictures in.. we are so creative. We just think of really great angles and ways to contort our bodies and snap: a classic photo:

So, Saturday morning rolls around and only Maria, Katie and Carrie (only to park cars) made it to the football game.Hannah eventually made her way back to the dorm( she was DEFINITELY drunkest of the night on Friday), and the rest of the hall, laid around, what we do best, and had a lazy Saturday afternoon. It rocked. Emily, from the picture above, didn't even wake up from her slumber until 2:00 pm. She had A LOT of sleep.

So, Saturday night rolls around. Liz went to a concert at Furman and the rest of the hall awaited the arrival of Emily's brother, Briggs and posse. Odly enough, this is the only picture we have of them.. snuggling with each other.....

So, after the boys got to our homeland, the girls decided to take them out to dinner, to the only place to eat in Clinton, senor garcias. Hannah... ordered a sandwich... obviously it wasn't that great, from the Mexican restaurant.

So then, the hall went out. A lot of exciting things happened... here are some 3G girls in a shower of a fraternity house.. listening to great convos in the bathroom... creeps. They heard some fights, heard some new obsessions like boots, and even who was planning on living together next year....

After the concert at Furman, Liz brought back her sister Laura and her friend Emily. We had a lot of visitors on 3g on Saturday night. Here's a picture to document Laura's first time to the houses!

On Sunday morning, after all of the visitors had left, the hall slept some more. Weird?.. We just slept and slept. We waited for Mary Brown to return from Chapel Hill.. where she met Gorilla Zoe, and then it was time to watch the American Music Awards. Here's Emily dressed in her best attire to dress just like the stars on TV she wanted to be just like.

Hannah went home Sunday morning to celebrate Thanksgiving early with her family, when she returned on Monday morning this is what was found:

Warning: we have a few good leads on who did this. You are really dumb. The wrath of 3G is upon you.. be scared and run for the hills. For once, it was not the girls on the hall.. and game is on. We have professional prankers in our midst and you're just going to scream cry when you know what's coming to you.

As we are all home, in our respective homes and beds, we are so thankful that we get to live everyday with such a great group of girls. Happy Thanksgiving! Stay tuned to home updates on the blog from girls on the hall. Most likely, Mary Brown will be posting pictures of babies she's weirdly obsessed with very soon!
Love you 3g!

3G Lesson of the day: You mess with one of us, you mess with all. Trust no one.

3G and Love Laguages

Well, tonight, Anna Derrick and Emily Payne gave us the brilliant idea of finding out our love languages and blogging about them-- so here we are. 12:15, blogging about our end of the hall's languages of love. Apparently, the five love languages are Physical Touch, Recieving Gifts, Acts of Service, Quality Time and Words of Affirmation.

Hoy, Liz, Hannah and Emily all were ranked the same in their languages of love.
1- Quality Time, 2- Words of Affirmation, 3- Phyiscal Touch, 4- Acts of Service and 5- Recieving Gifts.
So, come spend time with us, laying and saying nice things to us.. sometimes you can touch us-- but don't brings us anything or do anything for us. We just want you to come over and talk nicely to us. Thanks.

Most of the Hall's number ones were Quality Time-- go figure we don't get ANYTHING done around here.. weird?...Quality Time is how we love each other. We love being with our Scithers. Whether we are eating on the bed, laying in bed, talking in bed... or complaining in bed. We love being together.....Emily says... "in bed..."

Carrie and Maria's highest love language was Words of Affirmation. Go figure why Carrie vaules our opinions so much... and why Maria loves when we comment on her teacher outfits.

All of the Hall except for MB, Claire, Marge, Maria.... have their last love language as recieving gifts. Don't give us anything-- we won't care. You won't get a thank-you note from us.  MB, Claire, Marge, and Maria would love gifts-- bring them on by. They are waiting expectantly for Santa and his arrival.

Today, the hall, has been dispearsed considering our GPAs are dropping very quickly. Thanks to the blog. We have all had our share of "hell week" and are now looking forward to dead week after we come back 2349 pounds heavier from Thanksgiving... and having our own Thanksgivng feast (blog post will follow).

(Also, GDH look out. 3G is already hungry for thanksgiving lunch tomorrow... we are getting in line at 10:15 for lunch.)

3G lesson of the day--
Come hang with us, lay with us, eat with us, complain with us, but, don't come with gifts--- unless we can eat it.

Here are some pictures from the night of us spending quality time together....

Marge and Hannah... just laying.

A Not So Sunny Day for the Sunflower Shirt...

Fellow 3G schithers, before continuing reading, please take a look at the pictures below. You are beholding an upclose look at the infamous sunflower letter shirt that we see daily on this glorius hallway. Literally...Liz wears it everyday. Capturing this shirt TWICE on different cameras is proof enough. Tonight on the hall, things were chaotic, loud, and annoying as usual...but something was different. Something just wasn't right. WE HADN'T SEEN THE SHIRT. WHERE WAS IT?! Somehow, Liz left it at home. This is indeed a tragedy for all the schithers here on 3G. Withdrawls...what are withdrawls? None of us know how she's going to sleep tonight. None of us know how WE are going to sleep tonight. Aw, crap.

3G lesson of the day?  When packing a bag remember a checklist. Better yet, just never leave 3G.
